The shortest useful horizon.
The forecast miniature chooses RAIN, SNOW, or MIX at a meaningful 3H, 6H, or 9H horizon. When no meaningful precipitation appears within nine hours, it shows actual forecast temperatures through TEMP 6H. Each node is labeled with its represented local clock hour, so the timeline can be read without decoding a relative offset.
MIP, drawn natively.
The dedicated MIP system covers selected 240 × 240, 260 × 260, and 280 × 280 Forerunner, fēnix, Enduro, vívoactive, and legacy-character families. Each native size uses its own 64-color palette, compact typography, and complete three-value 3H forecast instead of scaling down the AMOLED face. Existing AMOLED layouts, Outdoor Brief, Weather Signals, motion, and low-power behavior remain on their isolated paths.
Personal, not configurable chaos.
Production defaults are Quoted Time, Faceted Seal, Outdoor Brief Off, Weather Signals Off, and Show notification count Off. Every option stays within the same information architecture, so a visual preference never compromises the meaning of the dial. AMOLED-only options never appear on MIP.
